1. Transportation & Operations Management

1. Plan and manage end-to-end transportation for domestic and international freight.
2. Coordinate multimodal shipments (road, rail, sea, and air) based on cargo requirements.
3. Monitor daily fleet operations, vendor performance, and shipment tracking.

2. ODC / Project Cargo Handling

1. Plan and execute transportation of Over Dimensional Cargo (ODC) including heavy lifts, breakbulk, and project cargo.
2. Conduct route surveys, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for oversized cargo.
3. Coordinate with engineering teams for load planning, lashing, and securing.
4. Arrange specialized equipment such as hydraulic trailers, modular trailers, cranes, and escort vehicles.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Permits

1. Obtain necessary permissions from authorities (RTO, port authorities, highway departments, police escorts).
2. Ensure compliance with local, national, and international transport regulations.
3. Manage documentation related to ODC movements and customs where applicable.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

1. Develop and manage relationships with transporters, fleet owners, and contractors.
2. Negotiate rates and contracts with vendors to optimize cost efficiency.
3. Coordinate with clients, customs brokers, port authorities, and internal teams.

5. Cost Control & Budgeting

1. Prepare transport budgets and cost estimates for ODC and regular shipments.
2. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
3. Ensure profitability of transport operations.

6. Risk Management & Safety

1. Implement safety standards for handling heavy and oversized cargo.
2. Identify potential risks in transit and develop mitigation strategies.
3. Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies.

7. Team Leadership

1. Lead and supervise transport coordinators, planners, and operational staff.
2. Provide training on ODC handling and compliance procedures.
3. Ensure efficient workflow and performance management.

8. Reporting & Documentation

1. Maintain accurate records of shipments, permits, and operational activities.
2. Generate MIS reports, KPIs, and performance analytics.
3. Provide regular updates to senior management and clients.

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, or related field.
2. 5–10 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, with strong exposure to ODC/project cargo.
3. Proven experience in handling heavy lift and oversized shipments.
